About the Role

Seniors Helping Seniors North Central Florida is expanding into licensed Home Health Agency services across our ten-county rural territory (Alachua, Bradford, Columbia, Dixie, Gilchrist, Hamilton, Lafayette, Levy, Suwannee, and Union). We're seeking a Nurse Administrator to build and lead our clinical program as we transition from homemaker/companion services into skilled and personal care under our new AHCA HHA license.

Key Responsibilities

•      Oversee the delivery of professional nursing and home health aide services across the agency's licensed territory

•      Supervise and manage all personnel providing direct patient care, directly or through qualified subordinates

•      Serve as case manager for clients receiving nursing or combined nursing/therapy care, and maintain responsibility for their clinical records

•      Establish and maintain policies and procedures for infection control, safety, and universal precautions consistent with CDC and OSHA guidelines

•      Employ and evaluate nursing personnel; coordinate patient care services and case assignments

•      Set and enforce admission criteria, case management standards, and delegation-of-nursing-tasks procedures

•      Ensure plans of care are individualized, appropriately documented, and consistent with each patient's needs, strengths, and goals

•      Maintain and enforce the agency's clinical policy and procedure manuals

•      Support AHCA survey readiness and respond to Agency information requests, including certified service reports

•      Partner with the Administrator and leadership team on quality assurance and compliance across all ten counties

Required Qualifications

•      Active, unencumbered Florida RN license (Chapter 464, F.S.)

•      Graduate of an approved school of nursing

•      Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience as a Registered Nurse

•      Must qualify as a “direct employee” under Florida home health agency regulations — payroll taxes withheld by the agency or a contracted management/employee-leasing company (independent contractor/1099 status does not satisfy this requirement)

•      Working knowledge of, or willingness to master, Chapter 400 Part III, F.S. and Rule 59A-8, F.A.C.

•      Ability to pass Level 2 background screening (fingerprint-based, via the AHCA Clearinghouse)

•      Comfortable working across a large, rural, multi-county territory

Preferred Qualifications

•      Prior experience with AHCA HHA licensure, survey prep, or a startup/de novo agency launch

•      Home health, hospice, or private-duty nursing background

•      Experience building clinical policy manuals from scratch

•      Familiarity with rural Florida healthcare access challenges

 Compensation: PRN - $40 per hour
